I woke up at 3AM. What the heck?! I didn't even set my alarm, my biological clock thinks it knows everything. Well, it doesn't! On top of waking up at 3AM, I had to wait an hour before dad was ready to leave for work. We left the house 10 till 4. I got my gym bag ready last night, so all I had to do was grab it and go. I made a protein shake for my work out. The scoop is HUGE! I am going to use only 1/2 a scoop, hopefully it doesn't ruin the effect of the protein shake. Its just the full scoop is simply too much for me. Dad went to work and I went to the gym. Its a little intimidating working out at the prison. I kept thinking some creeper might walk in. It was a little scary, no one did. I was there by myself the whole time, which was nice. Now since 4AM is just too early for me, I had to do something to wake myself up more. I stretched my legs a little then walked the first lap on the treadmill. I then proceeded to switch from walking to jogging for 1 mile, ending my time at 20 minutes. I then drank some water and did 15 minutes on the bike. Yesterday I was able to keep my heart rate around 160. Today I kept at between 145 and 150. Not too bad. I did some stretching, then went onto work my inner thighs. I did another 5 repetitions of 10, 50 in all. After that I went onto do the ab curls. Uggh. My stomach was sore from doing the 20 I did yesterday. I pushed myself just to do another 20 on the machine. My stomach is hurting even more. The pain means I did something right, so I really shouldn't be complaining. It was good. I decided to work my arms too, I did 20 in all. I'm not sure what the machine is called, your hands sit at elbow length and you push the bars down. That was my over all work out for the day. The gym has a shower, so I showered before coming home. I had an hour in between the gym and before I had to go in to work at 7.
As soon as I got home from work, my mom tells me to help her cook breakfast. I really didn't want to, seeing as I couldn't (rather shouldn't) eat it anyway. She wanted to make pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cut some fruit up. You know the whole shi-bang! Im trying my hardest to stay away from breads, its my utter weakness. I agreed to help her, oh the aroma was too over powering. I gave in, again! Grrr! For breakfast I had 1 poached egg (its like a fried egg, but done in simmering water), 1 biscuit with gravy, 1/2 pancake w/ syrup and home made strawberry freezer jam, 3 scoops of fruit (mangos and pineapple) and water. So instead of having 1/2 a chicken breast for dinner again, it seems the rest of my day is going to consist of 1 slim fast and fruit or steamed veggies for dinner. Oh the joy eating healthy. I much prefer to eat the heartier meal for dinner, that way I have more energy in the morning. :) Oh well, things happen.
I might go and work out again tonight for eating all that unhealthy breakfast food. Depends on how I feel after work. I have a friend that said she might go with and Caleb said he'd like to go if he can find a sitter willing to watch the kids for about a hour. Hmm. We shall see how it goes.
Alright, so I didn't go work out again tonight. I didn't feel up to it once I got out of work. Instead I'm having a friend come over so we can watch movies. I went and rented a few.
For lunch, I had a slim fast. For dinner, I had 2 lettuce wraps. It just consisted of two leaves of romane lettuce, 2 slices of turkey sand which meat, and some slices of cheese with a couple drops of mustard. Then of course some water.
I talked to my sister Resa and told her about my diet and exercise regiment. She doesn't think I should be so extreme with the dieting. She told me I should continue to eat out of all the food groups, but in moderation. She told me to add beans and barley to my diet. I will try and continue to make fruit and veggies the main part of my diet and just add the others here and there. I'm going to stay away from breads though.
So far the only thing I don't like about this challenge is that I don't nap anymore. :( I try to, but can't manage to just fall asleep. Its probably a good thing, but to me its not! Tomorrow is another day of getting up at 3AM and working out around 330AM. I work all day tomorrow so I won't be able to get on till I get off. I go in at 9AM. After my work out I'm gonna shower there and then just come home and try to sleep again. Make a lettuce wrap for lunch and take lots of fruit. :)
I know that changing my diet to a less extreme one will impact how much weight I lose. No matter how much I lose, I wont care. As long as I lose some! I think I will lose some inches and tone my body a little. I will be happy in the end. I'm sure of it. :)
P.s. I will keep adding on to this thru out the day if anything changes. That way I don't have a million "Day 2 continued" posts. :) I'm only thinking of my readers. :)
